McHale’s fixed-size round balers have received a major upgrade, now known as the F5 series, with the addition of Isobus electronics for the first time. Other improvements include a new pick-up and crop intake channel, the option of a 1,000rpm gearbox, and a revamped net feed system that provides 25% more stretch than before.
The F5 series consists of four models, starting with the F5-540 and F5-550, which have a 15-knife crop slicing system and the option for Isobus. The F5-560 and F5-560 Plus models offer a finer chopping system with up to 25 knives, with the Plus model also providing the choice of net or film binding for easier recycling storage.
In-cab density adjustment and overall diameter adjustment between 1.25m and 1.3m are made possible with McHale’s i-Control 5 terminal. Isobus Technology allows for automated tailgate open/close and additional settings and information available in the cab.
The new Profi-Flo pick-up and adaptive intake system improve crop flow in all baling situations. The pick-up, available in a five-bar cam-operated or six-bar camless design, features stainless steel bands for durability.
Prices for the F5 series start at £40,896 for the F5-540 model and go up to £65,330 for the fully equipped F5-560 Plus.
