Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı attended the G20 Agriculture Ministers Summit held in Cuiaba, the capital of Mato Grosso state. After the opening session, ministers planted saplings. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Yumaklı emphasized that water should be placed at the center of agricultural policies and highlighted that their primary goal is to ensure food supply security.
Minister Yumaklı stated that the world is entering a “New Normal” phase, for which strategies are being developed. He pointed out the importance of promoting sustainable agricultural practices, expressing that Turkey must focus on a sustainable future.
Yumaklı mentioned that the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza has obstructed millions of people’s access to food and water. He underscored that sustainable agricultural practices should align with global efforts. During the summit, Minister Yumaklı held bilateral meetings with agriculture ministers from various countries.
