During an event held in the garden of the Samandağ District Agriculture Directorate, materials were distributed to producers by Hatay Governor Mustafa Masatlı. A total of 119 earthquake-affected producers received greenhouse covers with 50% grant support, and 50 producers were provided with fertilizers, traps, gloves, medicines, and spraying pumps free of charge.
Greenhouse Production is an Important Source of Income for Hatay
Governor Masatlı emphasized the significance of greenhouse production in Hatay, stating, “We are pleased to distribute approximately 6 million 912 thousand liras’ worth of greenhouse materials with 50% grant support in the districts where greenhouse agriculture is most intense, namely Samandağ, Arsuz, and Defne. This project will cover approximately 220 decares of greenhouse area, ensuring continuity, efficiency, and quality improvement in production.”
Masatlı also expressed confidence that these supports would positively contribute to the city’s economy, noting that materials worth 512 thousand liras were provided to 50 producers. He added, “We will continue to overcome these difficult times through solidarity and unity between the state and the people.”
