Eyyüp Ergan announced that the processes aimed at increasing hazelnut yield have been completed and that hazelnut harvesting activities are about to begin. He emphasized that the weather is currently favorable for hazelnuts, and he believes that the positive effects of the weather will become apparent once the hazelnuts are harvested. He wished a productive season for the producers.
Ergan cautioned that harvesting hazelnuts too early could negatively impact yield. He suggested waiting for the hazelnuts to naturally fall before collecting them to achieve a higher yield.
Arslan Soydan, a member of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Chambers Union, revealed that producers have been carrying out essential preparations for the new season, including fertilization, pruning, liming, and spraying. He stressed the importance of producers cleaning their orchards to be ready for the harvesting process as the season approaches.
