The Cooperatives Project to Empower Women Continues
The “Cooperativism” training for women cooperative members has commenced and will last for 5 days. Ali Bal, the Rural Development and Organization Branch Manager, stated that four trainings have been conducted under this project so far. He highlighted that the aim is to promote women’s employment in agriculture across the country, and to create a suitable environment for the development of Women’s Cooperatives while encouraging and empowering them.
Bal indicated that there are 11 Women Cooperatives operating in İzmir and that they have received positive feedback from cooperative representatives regarding the previous trainings. He reaffirmed their support for women producers at all times.
