Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı emphasized the significant support that agricultural insurance provides to producers, noting that the importance of such insurance has increased in the face of natural disasters caused by global Climate Change. Yumaklı stated that the government is supporting producers through premium subsidies.
He announced that between January 1 and July 31, a total of 3 billion Turkish lira in compensation has been paid to producers affected by natural disasters under agricultural insurance. This compensation covers various sectors, including large-scale livestock, crop production, small-scale livestock, greenhouse cultivation, aquaculture, poultry, and beekeeping.
Yumaklı assured that these supports for producers will continue and that the significance of agricultural insurance will keep rising.
