In June, thousands of tons of mineral salt harvested with great effort are being produced in Sivas. This valuable product is not only sold in the domestic market but is also exported to many countries. According to Assoc. Dr. İbrahim Tuğkan Şeker, Sivas mineral salt holds significant value. He noted that they have applied to the Turkish Patent Institute for geographical indication on behalf of the Sivas Commodity Exchange.
Emphasizing the health benefits of mineral salt, Şeker explained that Sivas mineral salt possesses a high free radical content. This property makes it an easily absorbable salt by the body, and its protective effects against health issues such as hypertension and kidney problems have been scientifically proven. Therefore, various social responsibility projects will be implemented to promote and register this salt further.
