Hadley Glover, a 19-year-old from Kent, is making a name for himself as one of the youngest vice chairs in the Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFC) movement. He currently works as a tutor of animal care and English at a special educational needs college located on a working farm in Kent, where he shares his knowledge and inspires the next generation of farmers. Hadley’s family background in agriculture, with two farms in Dartford and Longfield, Kent, has instilled in him a deep appreciation for farming. He started the Ivy Cottage flock of Kerry Hills five years ago, focusing on pedigree livestock and achieving championship placements in sheep showing. Farming is not just a job for Hadley; it is a part of his family’s identity and history. His future aspirations include returning to the family farm to work, learn, and pass down his knowledge to the next generation. In addition to his farming pursuits, Hadley is actively involved in the Young Farmers’ Clubs, where he plans training days and competitions and enjoys the camaraderie within the community. He draws inspiration from his grandad, Denis Thomsett, who played a significant role in shaping his love for farming. Named after his grandfather, the Ivy Cottage flock is a tribute to the cherished memories and valuable lessons learned on his grandparents’ farm.
