Director Mustafa Şahin: Women of İzmir Set an Example for Turkey
At the celebrations of Farmer Women’s Day held in Tire, İzmir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa Şahin met with women farmers from Tire and highlighted that the endeavors of İzmir women serve as an example for the entire country.
The event, organized by the Tire District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, brought together Tire Women Producers and successful female producers from İzmir. The inspiring stories of women who have achieved success in the agricultural sector were shared at the event, which was attended by Director Mustafa Şahin as well.
In his speech, Director Şahin stated that İzmir women and İzmir cooperatives set an example for Turkey and inspired women across the country. He mentioned the support provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for women, saying, “Our new support model includes advantages for female producers.”
Wherever There is a Woman, There is Abundance
Shahin also noted that there are numerous projects in İzmir that support female producers, emphasizing, “Wherever there is a woman, there is abundance.”
Realizing a Dream
Highlighting that the challenges in agricultural production can be overcome with the new support model, Director Şahin stated, “We are bringing to life a project we have dreamed about. We will plan agricultural production, increase contracted production, and prevent land fragmentation.”
