In Aydın, the journey of tomatoes from the fields to the tables continues. In the Çiftlik district of Köşk, workers are harvesting cherry tomatoes early in the morning using a special method and packaging them into crates. Tomato producer Altan Güleşir mentioned that he has also planted cherry tomatoes this year, expressing concerns about production difficulties. Farmers are facing challenges in sales despite a high yield this year. The decrease in exports and the excess supply in the domestic market have led to a drop in prices. While the production cost of tomatoes is 6 TL per kilogram, the market price has fallen to 5 TL, causing farmers to incur losses. This situation is leaving farmers in a difficult position.
