In Yüksekova district of Hakkari, extensive agricultural lands have been designated for potato cultivation once again this year, as in previous years. Farmers in the Sualtı neighborhood of Kısıklı village have meticulously prepared their potato fields, with the recent rainfall boosting expectations for crop yield. Perviz Geçirgen, the President of the Yüksekova Agriculture Chamber, expressed optimism about high yields in the region. He recalled that last year, potatoes were planted in Kadıköy, and this year, agricultural areas in Kısıklı village have been allocated for potato farming. Geçirgen emphasized that the rainfall has improved the productivity of the farmland, and the district anticipates a bountiful potato harvest. He stated that the main goal is to revitalize agriculture in the district, and they are assisting farmers by providing guidance to achieve the best possible results.
