The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regularly updates a list of companies involved in counterfeiting and adulteration as part of its inspections. In the latest update, hazardous molasses and adulterated sausage, honey, and olive oils have been added to the list, while products made from offal, such as heart, köfte, and Adana kebab, have been labeled as “poultry meat.” Notably, the company CAVLAKLAR RESTAURANT GIDA HAYVANCILIK NAK. VE TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. (TURKUAZ RESTAURANT), which is included on the reliable food list, was found to sell raw Adana kebab that contained heart.
