Bayramiç, located in the northern slopes of Kazdağları, is home to a special nectarine variety named ‘Ida.’ This unique nectarine has been certified with a Geographical Indication by the Bayramiç Agricultural Chamber and is known as Bayramiç White. It is exported not only to local consumers but also to major cities abroad such as Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara. Bayramiç White stands out from other nectarine varieties due to its color, taste, aroma, and the ability to remain fresh for a longer period.

The harvesting time for the Bayramiç White, which has been recognized with a Geographical Indication by the EU, has arrived. This season, it is expected that around 20,000 tons of this special nectarine variety will be produced. Bayramiç White is harvested in three different periods: early, mid, and late season. Farmers involved in the production of this fruit are focused on careful harvesting and coloring processes to ensure high-quality products are obtained.
