In the Ilgın district, the “Increasing Organic Matter Content of Our Soils Project” was launched with the delivery of solid fertilizer distribution machines.
The handover ceremony for the solid fertilizer distribution machines was attended by our Konya Members of Parliament Orhan Erdem, Ilgın District Governor Aytekin Yılmaz, Provincial Director Duran Seçen, KOP Regional Development Administration President Dr. Murat Karakoyunlu, Ilgın Mayor Ömer Apil, departmental officials, NGO representatives, political party representatives, and local producers.
The project, prepared by our Directorate and financed by the KOP Regional Development Administration, allocated five solid fertilizer distribution machines for the joint use of the Beykonak, Balkı Ağalar, Bulcuk Agricultural Development Cooperatives, and Ilgın Dairy Producers Union. The aim of this project is to increase the organic matter content of soils that have been subjected to chemical fertilizers for years, thus restoring them to sustainable agriculture and improving yield and quality.
