Case IH launches updated AF9 and AF10 rotary combines for improved harvesting efficiency.
Case IH has provided a sneak peek of what to expect from their upcoming combines with the introduction of two new AF series rotary harvesters at the Farm Progress Show in the US. The AF9 and AF10 models are brand new combines that still feature the Axial-Flow’s unique single-rotor threshing and separation system. Unlike the AF11 flagship, which has a twin-rotor setup only available in North America, the AF9 and AF10 have a single rotor with a larger diameter and length for increased separation area.
Both the AF9 and AF10 share key features with the AF11, such as a nearly 20,000-liter grain tank capacity (with a 16,000-liter option available) and the new four-sieve Cross Flow Plus cleaning system. The combines also have upgraded grain handling equipment to handle higher throughput, including larger residue chopping options and radar-automated spreading for cutting tables up to 15.2m wide.
In terms of power, the AF9 boasts 634hp from its FPT block, while the AF10 is powered by a 775hp engine, the same as the twin-rotor AF11. These enhancements provide a significant increase in power for the AF10 compared to previous models.
