A new range of budget-friendly agricultural tires has entered the UK market, with Chinese and Indian manufacturers looking to increase their presence in Europe. GB Tyres, a wholesaler based in Tipton, West Midlands, has been appointed as the exclusive distributor of Advance agricultural tires from Guizhou Tyre Co (GTC Group), one of China’s leading tire makers.
GB Tyres, known for distributing GTC Group’s Samson industrial tires, expanded into the agricultural sector by acquiring Nordic Tyres in 2023. Nordic, based in Dumfries, is a major distributor of Nokian farm tires, working alongside RH Claydon since last year to provide enhanced sales and service support for Nokian’s premium tires.
The Advance tire range includes a variety of crossply traction and implement tires, as well as radial flotation and traction tires like the AR100 general-purpose tractor tire. The AR100 is available in sizes ranging from 24in to 38in rims, with a speed rating of 40/50kph and a maximum load capacity of 3,450kg.
For more advanced needs, the Advance R-1W IF tire meets IF specifications, allowing it to carry the same load at 20% lower inflation pressure than conventional tires. Currently available in four sizes, including IF 600/70 R30, IF 800/70 R38, IF 710/70 R42, and IF 520/85 R42, these tires come with speed ratings of 40-65kph to meet a variety of requirements.
