Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı, during his visit to Konya, stated that the country has achieved silent revolutions in agriculture. He emphasized that efforts to improve Turkey’s food supply security and agricultural production are ongoing and that significant steps have been taken.
Minister Yumaklı announced the implementation of the Agricultural Production planning and noted an increase in agricultural Export figures. He also revealed that supports are being provided to encourage the participation of young people and women in the production process. Additionally, he mentioned that the sugar beet purchase prices will be announced soon.
Highlighting the vital importance of water, Minister Yumaklı stressed the need for greater attention to water management in a country facing water stress. In meetings with representatives of the agricultural sector and civil society organizations in Konya, he addressed the future of agriculture and water management issues.
