AVR has introduced a new conveyor called the Mamba, which provides potato and root-crop growers with a more versatile, user-friendly, and higher-capacity option compared to its predecessor, the CTK. The Mamba is available in two belt sizes, the 6.5m 80-6 for handling lines and the 10.5m 80-10 for truck loading.

The Mamba features a wide V-shaped belt to maximize carrying capacity and minimize crop damage. It is driven by a drum motor with adjustable dosing and intake heights. The Mamba is designed to fit under any reception hopper due to its low height. It also offers infinite belt speed adjustment and can be integrated into AVR’s Line Control system.

Optional features for the Mamba include castor wheels, extra power outlets, LED working lights, and a protective cover for the conveyor belt. A basic version with manual height adjustment and a simple electronic control system is also available. The Mamba will replace the CTK by 2025, with limited machines available in 2024.

Prices for the Mamba range from £17,633 to £21,540 for the 80-6 model and £18,592 to £22,469 for the 80-10 model. The Mamba offers a more efficient and effective solution for crop handling needs.
