Prices for lemons in Eskişehir’s markets are on the rise, with the cost reaching up to 70 Turkish Lira per kilogram. Market vendor Şükrü Şahin attributes the price increase to factors originating from producers. He mentions that in June, he purchased lemons for 60-65 Lira per kilogram and is now selling them for 70 Lira in the market. Until now, lemons were sold for between 10-15 Lira less per kilogram, but this pricing has not satisfied consumers. Şahin also notes that new lemons will be available in August, which is expected to positively impact prices.
