The Rize Agricultural Chamber has launched a new project to support tea producers by establishing a factory for producing oil from tea seeds in its R&D garden located in the Fatih neighborhood. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to producers while increasing the value of tea seeds. A portion of the tea seed oil produced at the factory will be used for soap manufacturing under their own brand, while the remainder will be sold to cosmetic companies. The factory is scheduled to be operational by the end of the year.

Bünyamin Arslan, the President of the Agricultural Chamber, emphasized that the project is designed to support producers and highlighted the value of tea seed oil. He mentioned plans to procure 20 tons of tea seeds and produce 2 tons of tea seed oil at the factory. In addition to supporting producers, they aim to create soap products under their own brand and sell the remaining oil to cosmetic firms. With the launch of the factory, Arslan stated that they hope to provide even greater support to producers and expressed his wish for the project to be beneficial for all.
