Protesting Farmers Stand Tall: A Photo Essay on Maize Cultivation

In support of the No Farmers No Food campaign, which has been prominent during this year’s farmer protests, the Hughes family decided to turn their maize field into an eye-catching maize maze featuring the campaign’s logo.

With assistance from Agrii, they successfully mapped out the design, and Watkins Contractors utilized GPS technology for precise drilling.

Located on the border of mid Wales and Herefordshire, the Hughes family operates a farm that spans around 1,000 acres, encompassing a blend of mixed arable crops and a home-bred herd of suckler cattle.

Having already established maize cultivation on their property, the family viewed the creation of a maize maze as a unique way to diversify their farming activities.
