Massey Ferguson Unveils Next-Gen RK Twin-Rotor Rakes for Enhanced Efficiency

Massey Ferguson (MF) has enhanced its twin-rotor grass rakes with advanced features that simplify the operator’s tasks while ensuring optimal performance. The Pro models of the latest MF rakes introduce high-tech capabilities to make grass raking more efficient.

Initially seen in MF’s four-rotor systems, the Pro features on the new generation of RK centre-delivery rakes incorporate isobus technology. This allows for increased control and some automated functionalities, including satellite guidance integration.

One standout feature is the section control system, which can automatically raise or lower the rotors either individually or together. This mechanism is particularly useful for navigating angled headlands, ensuring that the rotors glide over the grass swaths without disturbing them.

Additionally, the flexHigh system offers speed-dependent rotor height management. As operating speed increases, it lowers the tines to counteract bending caused by high-yield crops. Conversely, at reduced speeds, it raises the tines to maintain a consistent distance from the ground, promoting a clean raking action and minimizing soil pickup.

Another innovative feature is the MyMemory option, allowing users to store important settings such as rotor height, spacing, and swath width. These preferences can be easily retrieved and activated when transitioning to the next field, streamlining operation.

Available Width Variations

The new range includes four models, starting with the RK 762 TRC priced at £29,361. This model features two 3.3m diameter rotors with 12 arms and offers adjustable working widths from 6.9m to 7.6m in four positions.

The RK 862 TRC, available for £34,236, utilizes 3.6m rotors to achieve raking widths between 7.6m and 8.6m, and the Pro version is priced at £39,353.

For those needing a larger option, the RK 922 TRC covers widths from 8m to 9.2m with 3.8m rotors, priced at £40,472 for the base model and £45,590 with the Pro features.

The top-tier RK 1002 TRC, equipped with 15-arm, 4.1m rotors, can rake grass across widths of 8.8m to 10m into swaths ranging from 1.4m to 2.6m. This model is offered at a price of £50,127 with all Pro features standard.
