The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is taking measures against food fraudsters. Following investigations, the ministry continues to expose firms engaged in counterfeiting and adulteration.
The list revealed fraudulent practices such as the substitution of donkey meat for beef, starch for cheese, and paint for red pepper flakes. Some companies have approached the courts to halt the process and have been removed from the lists.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that the lists of counterfeiting and fraudulent food products are now shared in real-time with consumers on the website güvenilirgida.tarimorman.gov.tr. Consumers can now obtain information from this site.
