The NFU is hosting a charity ball on 7 December to celebrate 120 years of Lincolnshire farming unions. The event will take place at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, honoring the history of the Lincolnshire Farmers Union and its contribution to the establishment of the NFU.

Guests can look forward to an evening filled with local food and entertainment, including a champagne reception, music by the Baltic Donkeys, and a casino. Local ingredients will be showcased in the dishes served, featuring Lincoln Red beef, potatoes, vegetables, strawberries, and cheeses from award-winning producers.

The charity ball aims to raise funds for two organizations supporting the rural community – the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network (LRSN) and the Lincolnshire Rural Agricultural Chaplaincy. NFU Lincolnshire county adviser Rhonda Thompson emphasized the importance of supporting these charities, especially in light of the challenges facing the farming industry.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals, with exposure through event promotions across the NFU’s network. Early bird tickets are priced at £85 per person, with tables of eight, 10, and 12 available for booking. For more information or to reserve tickets, visit the NFU Midlands page or email nfu_midlands@nfu.org.uk.
