The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has deposited a total of 406 million 577 thousand lira in agricultural support payments into farmers’ accounts.

Out of the distributed support, 187 million 735 thousand 315 lira was allocated for individual irrigation systems, 117 million 717 thousand 485 lira for rural development investments, 100 million 449 thousand 600 lira for silkworm breeding, and 674 thousand 600 lira for animal genetic resources projects.

Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı stated that the first payments under the new support model have been made, emphasizing that among these payments, there is significant support exceeding 100 million TL for silkworm breeding. He noted that in 2024, of the 1,254 age cocoon producers, 461 are young or female producers, and the support payments made to these individuals constitute 54% of the total support amount. Additionally, an extra 40% payment has been provided to young and female producers.

Minister Yumaklı also stressed that further payments under the new support model will continue in the coming period, wishing that the payments will be fruitful and beneficial for the producers.
